On joining the team as a probationary member you would have to spend at least 6 months working with the team on training exercises whilst undergoing a personal induction course.
Within the probationary period you would be expected to achieve all the requirements of induction training; gain a minimum first aid qualification (Red Cross basic 1 day) and undergo a night navigation test. (This test would prove your ability to help yourself if separated from the team when operating on the hill in bad weather or darkness). Achieving all this as well as proving your capability to the team on exercise, should result in you being invited to full team membership – Good Luck
